Gold Flotation Production Line

Flotation is a common beneficiation method used in gold beneficiation plants to treat rock gold ores, and is often used to treat gold-bearing sulfide minerals with high floatability. The flotation process can enrich gold into sulfide minerals to the greatest extent, the tailings can be directly discarded, and the beneficiation cost is low. 80% of rock gold mines in my country are selected by this process.

Process Introduction

1. Gold Flotation Process Flow

Gold mineral flotation normally adopts one stage grinding-flotation process, but stages grinding and flotation for ore with uneven distribution.

2. Grinding Fineness of Gold

For the gold wrapped in sulfide minerals, sulfide ore reaches monomer dissociation; but for the gold with gangue, grinding fineness should reach gold monomer dissociation. The grinding fineness of minerals is determined by a test.

3. Concentration of Gold Flotation Process

Flotation for large density and coarse particle needs thick pulp, whereas for small density and fine particle, needs dilute pulp.

4. Other Process Conditions

In addition to the grinding fineness, process conditions of gold flotation also include slurry concentration, reagent dosage, aeration quantity, and flotation time.

The deposit was characterized by standard minerals. There were repeated different stages of mineralization featuring an extreme low grade of sulfide. The raw ore consisted of metallic minerals (silver-gold ore, gold ore, blende, galena and hematite) and gangue minerals (quartz, sericite, feldspar, calcite, chlorite, zircon and apatite). The major deficiency of the deposit was the existence of the 5-20cm thick fault which distributed along the main crack. The ore was in the form of dark grey and off-white slime.
